After getting feedback on my ancillary texts, it was made apparent to me that the images I have previously taken were not to a great standard due to them being fairly blurry. Therefore, I have taken a selection of new images that I hope will be more effective.

Film Poster First 'Draft'
This is my film poster so far. It has a lot more that needs adding such as the text stating the directors and producers etc. Also, an idea I have had for the film poster is to change the main front image to an image of the character before he became wealthy. The reason being is because it depicts the protagonist as being a normal youth before finally resulting into a complete wreck. By blurring the images in the background I have tried to create the effect of 'double sighted visions' as well as fast paced showing that these images are taken when under the influence.
The poster follows the same house-style as the magazine front cover, using the colours black, white and gold. The reason being is because I want the theme to be continuous throughout all my media texts. So far, the film poster is looking to be quite effective, I'm just in need of a little more material to work with.

Film Trailer Version 2
Here is a second version of my film trailer. I have changed the song choice in order to make it more fast paced and therefore create a more of a 'montage' rather than a straight forward narrative compared to the last film trailer. This is only the beginning and there is still footage that needs to be shot, hence the blanks. The video has not exported very well which is why the sound at the end has been cut short, however the main aspect of what I was trying to create is still apparent.

Film Magazine Second Draft!
Here is the second draft of my Film Magazine front cover. It is clear that a lot more has been added, such as the text. The skyline and teasing contents have stuck to the house-style and also added a lot more to the magazine for the audience to read into. The coverlines also help add to this however, on my front cover the cover lines are not amazingly eligible therefore I will have to alter that in some way. An edit I did from the last draft was the splash. By using a rectangle I can fill the space as well as enlarge the text making it more apparent.
So for, my magazine is working well, however the colours, although working together quite well, do not seem to be vibrant enough and it may appear that it is fairly bland. Possibly putting in much more brighter colours such as red could make a more positive outcome?

Film Magazine First 'Draft'
This is the first draft of my film magazine so far. There is obviously a fair amount missing such as coverlines and other text. However, as you can see I am following the house style with the colours black, white and gold. The splash next to the headline looks fairly blank and not that appealing, therefore at some point I will have to think about recreating that in some way. The masthead, although a decent idea, I feel as though it doesn't appear professional enough. For a first draft/guidelines towards a complete version I am fairly happy with it.
Looking at the background of the magazine, I have duplicated it and then used 'Image > Adjustements > Threshold' in order to create a rather graphic effect. This just make the front cover a little more appealing and also bring the main image forward.
Text Used on Film Magazine
This is the text I am using on my film magazine. The font I have used is similar to that found on the dollar bill, therefore this relates the film to money, along with the actual film title 'Inheritance.' Alongside this I have used a gold-like colour in order to resemble wealth. Black, white and gold will be the house-style of my magazine as in this issue it is based around money. The black and white make it more formal and appear 'upper class' but also the connotations of the black and white colours could show then when it comes to money you either have it or you don't.
Different Mastheads
For my film magazine front cover I needed a simple masthead that stood out, was eligible as well as being distinctive. Similar to that of Total Film magazine and Empire.
I took inspiration from the Total Film masthead and the way in which the word 'Total' is within the word 'Film. The reason being is because I thought this was unique and a creative way of designing mine. However, just to using a rather linear approach and creating my own font it had a very amateur effect and did not work so well. An extra aspect of my masthead I used was the striped part of a 'clapper' or 'clap board' (the board they 'clap' together when recording and shout "Scene 5 take 2")
The text I used looked too basic and with the stripe it did not quite look as professional as I'd have hoped. Therefore, I have changed to a basic golden text that I hope will create a professional outcome!

Photoshopping my images
These are a couple of attempts at Photoshopping my images in order to create a professional-like outcome when finalising my film magazine. In order to make my images more appealing I have had to remove spots/blemishes using the 'Spot Healing Brush Tool.' This allows me to begin making the image more appealing and 'polished.' Next, duplicating the skin I was able to blur using Filter>Gaussian Blur, this then created a more 'smooth' skin thus adding to the polished effect.
Other effects I have done is remove the red eye from the images and then manipulate the eyes into looking more blue. As well as this, an obvious aspect of the edited version is the background. By placing the main image on top of a background full of money it helps create a theme. Also, although not very visible, in the glasses of the first edit I have blended in money into the lenses of the glasses to make it appear as though that it was the character is looking at and more focused on.
Altogether I feel as though these are good starts for my film magazine. All that is left is to add the text, masthead and other conventions and hopefully I will have a professional looking piece.

Images for Ancillary Texts

Very Basic Film Magazine Layout
This is a very basic example of what the layout of my final ancillary text will follow. It has all the major conventions however when developing the main piece I will probably add a few more conventions such as a splash and obviously the barcode.
