Originally the main protagonist was going to gain money from inheriting his Granddad's lottery winnings then going off the rails, that is still happening. But to add more to the story, the protagonist invests in his own business, what he does is left unsaid, but he continues to go out before finally being kicked out of his home and left by himself.
Not a big change, however I feel it adds more to the story.
