Target Audience 1

My target audience will be of a more mature demographic, therefore if the full feature length product were to be viewed in cinema it would be rated 12A possibly 15. The reason being is because I believe they are the most successful age ratings for films. To prove this I researched into the best movies of 2012, the reason being is because the age ratings system has become a bit more lenient over the years and what would have more commonly be seen in an 18 was being featured in a 15, aspects seen in a 15 are now seen in a 12, so looking at movies from the 1970's/80's would not be as accurate as a film from 2012. What I found on my research was the majority of the films were 12A, the top 3 being Marvel's Aveneger's Assemble, The Dark Knight Rises and The Hunger Games.

The data can be found on this site

In my film trailer I will need to highlight the content within the trailer.

The green banner represents the trailer is able to be seen by all ages, meaning there can be little mature contents but can be marketed to a wider audience.

Using a red banner means the audience can view more mature content within the trailer, allowing the editor (me) to show more content that will create a more appealing and possible more understandable trailer. However, this a wider audience will not have access to this trailer within a cinema on on the television, two of the best ways of reaching the target audience.
